Summertime...

...and here it comes at last!! We're on holiday!!! :)

And what can you do on a sunny and quiet summer day?? Read, of course!! :)

Here you are the catalogue of the Burlington books in case you want to choose one of them. But you can also choose the book you prefer, no matter the editorial!! It is a volunteer task, so just read it and enjoy yourself.

Have a nice summer!!

Remedial work 2nd Term

Hello people!

Here you are the dossier that you'll need to do as a remedial work of the 2nd term. Print it and give it to me the day of the exam (Tuesday 21th April, 16.00h).
Remember that it is also important to revise your work and outlines.

Good luck!!

Biographies -a project-

Hi everyone!

In pairs, you're going to create a Powerpoint presentation with the biography of an artist (a writer, composer, musician, painter, architect...). It must be a person who has been historically relevant. The objective is that your classmates guess who's your "secret person".

How to do it? You need to include the major details of their life -EXCEPTING THEIR NAMES!!-

  • Why are they relevant in history? (profession)
  • Date and place of birth (and death)
  • Relevant anecdotes of their childhood (if you find any)
  • Relevant milestones (important moments in their life)
  • Representative works
  • Family (marriage, children, etc...)
  • Anything you consider relevant.

Look for information on the Internet, select the most important and build a .ppt (minimum 10 slides, including one with your names and group). You can use pictures, music and/or videos to illustrate the information.

Check out the rubric to make sure that you're doing the presentation correctly. Send me an e-mail when you finish your project: chlopez@florida-uni.es

Enjoy!! :)

Deadline: 2nd A, B: Thursday 19th February
